    Shod - she can't handle been barefoot, goes lame till you put shoes back on. Also she needs studs for eventing as we event in winter and the ground can get slippery cheers

    Shady has been barefoot for about 6 months now, but he was pasture trimmed before that. He gets barefoot trimmed because he has bad angles that need to be corrected.

    im not too keen on shoing, like i dont hate it, but jst not wanting my horses to b shod, i mean il probz have to wen we get up to teh higher stuff but meh Razz

    Coz he goes lame without shoes and he has really crumbly feet =/
    there white and if he loses a shoe the farier has to come straight away else its almost imposible for the farier to put a shoe bak on :S

    Mine are all barefoot in the winter because they don't get ridden so it is easier.

    Chunky is shod in the summer because I hack on the roads and his feet aren't good enough.

    the others arent but the new one will when she starts jumping higher cos shell need studs

    all my are unshod. do eventing and sj fine.

    I am not digging at anyone but. When my horses were first barefoot they were lame for a few weeks.but we just dont take our shoes of and work on hard ground or stones without a fuss? Soo why is it thought that why for horses? No need for nastyness cat

    Soo are my bubbas, but Dee needs to be shod because she's got flat feet...typical Tb haha Mad Razz
    But I usually just trim my boys and then just keep them in shape between trimmings by walking them on the road- they toughen up their feet like that and dont get lame at all!!

    my sjer is shod becz he needs the grip and studs when hes jumping on grass
    and my new poni is gng to get shod once shes gets gng as well

    one's shod because he has been all his life, and really needs extra grip as he isn't very sure footed.
    the other is barefoot, because i actually prefer it, and she has no problems - does games and everything in all conditions and never slips.
